Welcome to Louisville Slugger

It takes a special place to craft the Official Bat of Major League Baseball. Since 1884, Louisville Slugger has put prime lumber in the hands of the greatest players of the game. A visit to the museum shows you how the sport has changed a bit between then and now, but the "crack of the bat" remains one of the sporting world's most thrilling moments.

> Linedrives and Lipstick Open Through March 16!

Now through March 16th, Linedrives and Lipstick - The Untold Story of Women's Baseball pays tribute to this forgotten side of our national pastime with photographs and memorabilia. The temporary exhibition also celebrates the legends and landmarks of the dedicated women athletes who hit, fielded, slid and played the game with passion.

"This terrific exhibit will dispel many myths about women's baseball starting with the assumption that it was a short-lived phenomenon of the 1940s," says Anne Jewell, Executive Director of Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. "In fact, America's national pastime has included women players from the beginning of baseball in the 1860s."

Visitors will be fascinated by dozens of images ranging from picture postcards, game programs, photographs, and posters, to in-depth articles from magazines such as Colliers, Liberty and The Saturday Evening Post.
